Mustafa ALPAGUT was born in Erzurum.He completed his elementary and high school education at Işık Lisesi in Nişantaşı Istanbul.
At the age of 15, While he was attending Işık Lisesi,he started to play the guitar. He established his first band Işık 5'lisi there in Işık Lisesi.For there years while he gave concerts and performed music, Mustafa Alpagut was the lead singer and played guitar in the band.
Afterwards he composed Anatolian Folk music.The he gave concerts with the guitar and bağlama (Traditional Turkish Music Instrument) and composed futher music.During his education in I.T.U. Mechanical Faculty, her formed a band named Dişli Çarklar 5'lisi and with the band he performed music and gave concerts.
After that, he started to focus completely on composing musis; he composed many songs for himself and other famous singers such as, Nilüfer, Haluk Levent, Ayla Dikmen, Selçuk Vural, Salim Dündar, Asya, Coşkun Demir, Neslihan Demirtaş, Banu Kırbağ, Zaliha, Lale Belkıs, Ferdi Özbeğen, Ceylan Ece, Ömür Göksel, Sibel Egemen, Hüner Çoşkuner, Semra Ersoylu, Ayten Alpman, Yasemin Kamral, Emre Altuğ, Kutsi, Sefarad Sami, Ebru Cündübeyoğlu.
His last work waspublished on the album "Mustafa Alpagut Şarkıları" in 2015 June.
He continues his career as a mechanical engineer (industrialist) and he continues to play the guiter and to compose music.
Mustafa Alpagut is a member of Mesam Composers Union.
Mustafa ALPAGUT graduated from Istanbul Technical University -Mechanical Faculty, Aeronautical engineering Department in 1971 as the youngest graduate of that year and became an Aeronautical Engineer.
He started his professional career at Alarko Group.There he worked as an engineer for six months and as head engineer for 1 year. Then he left his job in Alarko and formed the foundations of his current company Elkon in 1975.
Mustafa Alpagut is the founder and Chairman of ELKON Group of Companies.

The center of the group is in Esentepe and the group has 4 factory to produce Integrated Concrete Station in Çerkezköy under the names of ELKON1, ELKON2, ELKON3, ELKON4. The group showed a great performance by making 200 million dollar export in 5 years. It is the 23rd biggest machinery exporter of Turkey in 2013 Machinery Exporters Association List,Elkon exports in 99 countries within 4 continents. Alpagut has turned the ELKON Group to ELKON Family of 450 people. He states that he is proud of the quality of ELKON's Human Resources Department. Mustafa Alpagut is a member of ISO and he serviced in Room Assembly, Professional Committees and Çerkezköy O.S.B Board of Directors. He still services in Ergene Derin Deşarj Project and Kapaklı O.S.B. Board of Directors apart from his own company. ELKON Group continues its international evolution with its offices in Russia, Kazakhstan, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Hungary and Ukraine.
